Dead Island combines first-person action with a strong focus on melee combat, character development, and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features are featured in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and exciting campaign that can be played with up to four players in co-op mode. Set on an open-world tropical island, hordes of festering zombies await players around every corner as they embark on various exciting missions across the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition in short supply, the player must rely on using found items as weapons for self-defense and fend off hordes of zombies in intense melee combat. A diverse assortment of items can be collected, and will later serve to transform the player's usual makeshift weapons into serious tools of destruction. What's more, at any time during the game, up to four players can team up seamlessly and experience an intense combat and immersive story with cooperative gameplay. Read more screenshots
